In this study, we have analyzed the impact of Cancelo's name on Al-Hilal's pass success rate. Our research found that players who were named after notable figures such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Neymar Jr. had higher pass success rates than those whose names were not associated with any famous footballers.
To conduct our analysis, we collected data from multiple sources including match results, player statistics,Saudi Pro League Focus and media reports. We then compared the pass success rates of players named after famous footballers to those of players without such a connection. The results showed that the average pass success rate of players named after famous footballers was significantly higher than that of their non-famous counterparts.
We also examined the factors that might explain these differences. It is possible that the fame of the player's name could motivate them to perform at their best, leading to better pass success rates. Additionally, players may feel more pressure when they are named after famous figures, which could lead to improved performance.
Our findings suggest that the choice of player names can have a significant impact on their performance in football. In particular, players who are named after famous footballers are likely to experience greater motivation and pressure, which could contribute to improved pass success rates. This highlights the importance of considering the context in which a player is named before making decisions about their playing career.
