Monaco’s wingback, Wanderson, has become the first player to score in four consecutive Champions League matches for his club.
The Brazilian defender made history on Wednesday night when he scored twice as Monaco beat Juventus 4-1 at home.
Wanderson’s two goals were both spectacular displays of skill and technique, with him cutting inside from the left flank before firing a powerful shot into the top corner.
He also had another great chance late on,Bundesliga Tracking but couldn’t quite find the net.
But it was enough for Monaco to secure their place in the quarter-finals of the competition.
Wanderson’s achievement is particularly impressive given that he only joined Monaco in January, having spent most of his career playing for other clubs including Palmeiras and Santos.
It’s a big step up for him and one that will surely earn him more recognition in the future.
For now, though, he can celebrate this important milestone and look forward to continuing his impressive form for Monaco in the coming weeks and months.
