Dani Olmo's arrival at RB Leipzig has brought a whole new era to German football, according to the winger himself.
Olmo, who moved from Real Madrid to Leipzig for €12m (around £10m), is set to become the first Spanish player to play for Leipzig and he has already made a big impact on the team.
The Spaniard has been praised for his pace, skill and vision on the pitch and he has already scored two goals and provided three assists in just four games for the Bundesliga club.
But Olmo's arrival also marks a shift in the way that Leipzig approach their playing style. They have traditionally played a more defensive-oriented game,La Liga Frontline but with Olmo in the side they are looking to open up the attack and create more opportunities for their forwards.
"Leipzig has always been known for its defensive qualities," said Olmo. "But I think we can do better than that. We need to be more creative and open up the field."
And while Olmo may not be the only Spaniard at Leipzig, there is no doubt that his presence will help to boost the team's confidence and improve their chances of success this season.
As for Olmo himself, he is clearly excited about the prospect of playing for such a talented squad and he is determined to make the most of the opportunity.
"I'm very happy to be here," he said. "I know that Leipzig is a great club and I am excited to be part of it. I want to contribute to the team and help them achieve their goals."
